Construction Continues At Dubai Pearl

Dubai - 6th July 2011: Construction of Dubai Pearl is continuing, and the groundwork, foundations, basements and lower grounds floors of the four towers which form the central section of Phase 1 of the development is now complete.
A total of 3.5 million man hours have so far been spent since work started on site and over 60,000 cubic meter of concrete has been poured on one of the largest construction projects still being developed in the UAE.

Completion of the fourth and final concrete raft pour on Tower 4

Dubai Pearl announced the milestone completion of the fourth and final raft foundation pour achieved within the timeline of four months. The raft foundation on Tower 4 of the project consisted of 11,500 cubic meters of concrete, 2,500 metric tonnes of steel reinforcement and took a record 30 hours in one continuous pour to complete. Dubai Pearl Completes Raft Pouring for North Tower of Iconic Project

Pearl Dubai FZ LLC has completed the concrete raft pouring at the development’s Tower 2 (North Tower).
This marks Dubai Pearl’s achievement of a key construction milestone with the installation of three of the Middle East’s largest rafts on Tower 1, Tower 2 and Tower 3 of the iconic project.

Pearl Dubai FZ LLC, a leading real estate developer in the UAE, today announced the completion of 50% of the foundation works in the prestigious Dubai Pearl development with the completion of the raft pouring in South Tower on the project.
The South Tower has a foundation slab which is 3.25 metres thick and 3,072 square meters in total area. Juxtaposed against the 8.07 meters excavation, the dimensions make it a major milestone in the projects construction timeline. The project’s second raft pouring was completed in a record time of 30 hours.

Pearl Dubai FZ LLC, one of the leading real estate developers in the UAE, announced the commencement of main construction work on Dubai Pearl, the AED15-billion (US$4 billion) integrated luxury development, following the completion of the enabling and piling works by Al Habtoor STFA Soil Group (HSSG).
The main construction is being undertaken by the Al Habtoor Leighton Group, which was awarded the construction work at the end of 2008.
