Dubai Pearl will sponsor the amfAR (The Foundation for AIDS Research) ‘Cinema Against AIDS Dubai 2009’ gala dinner for the third consecutive year.
As a highlight of the glamorous event, Dubai Pearl will pledge an exquisite two-bedroom Bellagio Residence for sale to the guests and donate AED2.5 million of the auctioned amount to support amfAR’s endeavour.
Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, UN Ambassador for Peace, Chairperson of International Humanitarian City and wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, will be the honorary chair of the gala event on 10 December to be held at the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) as part of the Dubai International Film Festival 2009 (DIFF).
Her Majesty Queen Noor Al Hussein of Jordan will grace the event as Special Chair, while actor Matt Dillon, Louis Ferla, Managing Director of Cartier Middle East and India, producer Milutin Gatsby, and actress Christina Ricci will serve as Event Chairs for the evening that will be headlined by the singer-songwriter Mandy Moore in a special performance.
