Dubai Pearl honored at Patrons of the Arts Awards

DUBAI - The Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Patrons of the Arts Awards, honoured 47 organisations and individuals for their contributions towards the city’s cultural scene at a prestigious event held on Sunday at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel, in the presence of members of the royal family.
In its third edition, the ceremony opened with a delightful musical performance titled ‘Music of Dubai’ by The Fridge, and an artistic sand drawing projected at the back of the theatre inspired by the heritage of the UAE.

Last night, four children from the Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre were the special guests of Dubai Pearl at the opening gala of the 8th Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF).
Construction Continues At Dubai Pearl

Dubai - 6th July 2011: Construction of Dubai Pearl is continuing, and the groundwork, foundations, basements and lower grounds floors of the four towers which form the central section of Phase 1 of the development is now complete.
A total of 3.5 million man hours have so far been spent since work started on site and over 60,000 cubic meter of concrete has been poured on one of the largest construction projects still being developed in the UAE.

Dubai Pearl will sponsor the amfAR (The Foundation for AIDS Research) ‘Cinema Against AIDS Dubai 2009’ gala dinner for the third consecutive year.

Completion of the fourth and final concrete raft pour on Tower 4

Dubai Pearl announced the milestone completion of the fourth and final raft foundation pour achieved within the timeline of four months. The raft foundation on Tower 4 of the project consisted of 11,500 cubic meters of concrete, 2,500 metric tonnes of steel reinforcement and took a record 30 hours in one continuous pour to complete. Santhosh Joseph Karimattom, President and CEO of Pearl Dubai FZ LLC, said: “We have embarked on a mission to create a landmark development and with this milestone achieved we are yet another step closer.
